Jonathan Powell has had a long career protecting UK interests, having served for seventeen years as a diplomat in the Foreign Office and as Chief of Staff to Tony Blair in opposition and for ten years in No10. Outside Government he has worked at Morgan Stanley and more recently founded the charity Inter Mediate in 2011 to use his experience as chief British negotiator in the talks that led to the Good Friday Agreement to work on resolving complex conflicts, including acting in 2014 as the UK’s special envoy to Libya.
