Alison Hamer was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) In April 2022. Her career spans over 20 years in finance, HR and L&D roles within the public and private sector, including Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service and Ministry of Justice. She is a qualified accountant (CIMA) and HR professional (Chartered Fellow CIPD) and is passionate about how corporate services can contribute to driving businesses forward and supporting in robust decision making. Outside of work, Alison is a magistrate.
