The Lord Chancellor has approved the appointment of Professor Solene Rowan and Professor Lisa Webley as Commissioners of the Law Commission of England and Wales.

The Law Commission is a statutory independent body that keeps the law under review and recommends reform where it is needed. The aim of the Commission is to ensure that the law is fair, modern, simple and as cost-effective as possible. Law Commission is an advisory non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Ministry of Justice .
