Eva Abeles

Eva joined the Charity Commission in 2022. Prior to taking up the Acting Director post she was Head of Legal Permissions and Information Law. Before joining the Commission, Eva was a Senior Advisory Lawyer at the Church of England advising on charity and ecclesiastical law, including legislation restructuring Cathedrals and Diocesan Boards of Education. Prior to that, Eva spent over 10 years in private practice as a specialist charity solicitor, gaining significant experience advising charities and trustees from all parts of the sector.
