General Counsel
Chris Prevett has been General Counsel at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) since 26 July 2022. As a member of the senior executive team and an important adviser to the board, Chris leads in the provision of legal advice across the CMA’s functions. Previous career highlights include: Senior Legal Director of Mergers, Markets and Sector Regulation at the CMA, responsible for overseeing legal advice across the portfolio Legal Director and Project Director at the CMA senior lawyer in private practice with Travers Smith LLP and Slaughter and May, where he advised across a wide range of EU and UK merger and antitrust issues working on secondment at the Office of Fair Trading Disclosure of interests
