After obtaining a first class degree in mathematics at Durham University, David worked as a software engineer on products for the chemical and offshore sectors. David subsequently delivered a number of digital transformation and merger projects in local and central government, before becoming Chief Information Officer for Homes England. He is currently Chair of Trustees of refugee charity Action Foundation, Board Member at North Star Housing Association and part of the Senior Leadership Team of City Church, Newcastle with a particular focus on community engagement and empowering marginalised groups.
