Lisa joined The Oil and Pipelines Agency ( OPA ) as a Process Safety Engineer in December 2011 as part of the existing HSSEQ Team. Lisa advanced her career through the company to become Assurance Manager in May 2015. She is currently responsible for providing support to other business areas to ensure that process safety and quality compliance are at the forefront of the OPA ’s business operations. Lisa has over 19 years’ experience, predominately within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry where she spent her career working with highly hazardous materials in process operating environments. Lisa added to her chemical engineering degree that she obtained in 1995 by studying whilst continuing to work at GlaxoSmithKline and gained her Master’s degree in process safety and loss prevention in 2000. Lisa has a blend of operational and project engineering experience to compliment her process safety and occupational health and safety skills obtained through working in organisations of all sizes; she became a Chartered Chemical Engineer in 2003. Lisa’s varied background, and technical knowledge is vital to providing a positive safety culture which contributes to the provision of significant project and technical improvements to the business assets.
