Director of Science Operations and Research
Matt was appointed Director of Science Operations and Research in September 2024. Before joining APHA, Matt was Chief Delivery Officer at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory ( Dstl ). Much of his career has been in public sector research and development including: Head of the Technology and Business Faculty at the Defence Academy of the UK Deputy Chief Scientific Advisor for National Security and Intelligence Head of Dstl ’s Chemical and Biological Science and Technology Centre Matt has a PhD in Chemistry and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
