Director, UKDSE
Oliver Harry is the Director for Defence and Security Exports ( UKDSE ) for the Department for Business and Trade. Oliver joined the UK Government around 15 years ago and has undertaken a variety of roles in London and overseas, most recently as Deputy Director in UKDSE . Before this, Oliver completed two operational deployments (including a tour as policy advisor to a Brigade Commander in Helmand province, Afghanistan) and has served as private secretary to the UK’s Minister for Defence Procurement. He has also been seconded to NATO where he was a Deputy Director in the NATO Secretary General’s cabinet. Before joining the civil service Oliver worked in the private sector. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
