Pam Duerden
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Director
Pam joined British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) in 1989 and has over 35 years of experience in a variety of safety, security, environmental and quality leadership roles across the nuclear industry, including at Board level. She has worked across various organisations, including BNFL, Springfields Fuels, Nexia Solutions and NRS (formerly Magnox), gaining significant experience of safety, security, environment and quality aspects of complex operations across the nuclear fuel cycle, including over 15 years of experience in decommissioning, with previous roles as EHSS&Q Director and Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO).. A passionate SHEQ professional, and recognised industry leader she is currently the chair of the UK Safety Director’s Forum, and a Member of the Civil Nuclear Police Authority Board (CNPA). Pam joined the Sellafield Ltd executive team and became safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) director in February 2025.
