Pam Duerden

Pam Duerden joined the CNPA Board in April 2021. She is the Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality (EHSS&Q) Director for the Magnox Ltd nuclear decommissioning business, and has held previous corporate and site senior roles in this organisation. Pam also holds the position of SIRO (Senior Information Responsible Officer) for the business, and supports a Board sub-committee for safety on another site within the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority estate. Pam’s background in the nuclear industry started at Sellafield as a Radiation Protection Advisor in the 1980s, and she has worked across many other environment, safety, security and assurance roles in fuel manufacture, in other nuclear corporate centres and in a nuclear research and development business, before joining Magnox Ltd in 2008. Pam continues to work with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, supporting work on Management and Leadership for Safety.
