Rob Wilson is a former Member of Parliament for Reading East and a Minister in the Cameron and May governments. He spent 10 years serving on the Conservative front bench with roles in higher education, health, at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Treasury and the Cabinet Office. He spent three years as Minister for Civil Society 2014-17 in both Cabinet Office and DCMS. Before politics, Rob was an entrepreneur and founded businesses in the health and technology sectors using innovative and disruptive technology to develop new markets. He continues to have a strong interest in new technology. Since leaving parliament, he has taken a number of board roles, supporting customers in the water and transport sectors. He is chair of national wheelchair sports charity WheelPower, which supports people with spinal injuries into sport. He also invests in innovation and new technologies. Rob writes for the Daily Telegraph, the Times and other publications on politics. He has published two books, 5 Days to Power, and Eye of the Storm.
